    Partnership for Community Action Partnership for Community Action, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency born out of President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty initiative. Mrs. Eva Jewell Greene, affectionately called Mother Greene, founded Partnership for Community Action, Inc. in 1966 after the passage of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Partnership for Community Action, Inc. is the designated community action agency for DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties. The organization works to create opportunities leading to family self-sufficiency by providing services to low-income individuals and families in its service community. The agency serves more than 23,000 families per year using grant funding from county/local/state/federal government. The Family Support Program provides emergency assistance services to individuals and families in crisis. Other programs under the umbrella of family support include: transportation services, a variety of employment and career services, Youth Empowerment Services (YES), energy assistance, and other supportive services. The energy services offered include LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program).     The mission of Restoration Storehouse is to equip and empower anyone and everyone that may be experiencing life challenges. Whatever the distress or hardship, RSh's goal is to help navigate the difficulties, adversities, or disparities of the moment and provide a path to transitional life change from instability to sustainability. RSh assists everyone and anyone who face adversity through education, economic, social, emotional, or medical issues; as well as those who are at risk of unemployment, underemployment, and/or homelessness. We offer the population of Rockdale county practical services that renew hope, strengthen lives, restore dignity. One Purpose - One Voice - New Day Women's Health Housing Solutions Family Healthcare Food & Clothing Mental Health Job Readiness Emergency Assistance Children Services Family Assistance Community Support Our Services Help Now "You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need" Philippians 4:19 Women's Health- The Refuge Center offers pregnancy tests, obstetric ultrasounds for the purpose of pregnancy verification and gestational age of the baby. Other services offered include motherhood/fatherhood classes, material assistance for children from birth to 3 years old. Refuge also offers options counseling for unplanned pregnancy and post abortion healing programs. Mercy Heart clinic offers healthcare services for women including Diabetes Treatment, High Blood Pressure Treatment, Chronic Heart Disease Treatment, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Treatment, Prophylaxis Treatment, Dental Extractions, and Cavity Fillings. Housing Solutions- Phoenix Pass serves the needs of women and their children experiencing temporary homelessness by giving them an opportunity to reestablish self-sufficiency in a residential setting. The program at Phoenix Pass provides participants with supportive services and the resources to recover and rebuild a productive, stable lifestyle for themselves and their children. Healthcare- Mercy Heart Clinic offers Medical and Dental care to Rockdale Residents who are 18 or older, uninsured or under insured and 200% below the Federal Poverty Level. From medical aid to dental care, the Mercy Heart Clinic provides free services to citizens that need it most. Our organization in Conyers, Georgia provides medical treatment for these specific conditions only: Diabetes, Hypertension, Chronic Heart Disease and COPD. Dental care is primarily Prophylaxis, Extraction and Fillings. ​ Food and Clothing- One Heart Ministries though the Xtra Mile Food Ministry serves food and resources to over 500 people each week. Refuge Center offers material assistance for children from birth to 3 years old. Items available vary by momentary supply, but usually include clothing, shoes, diapers, wipes, formula, etc. ​ Mental Health/Substance Use- View Point Health provide services that are client-centered, trauma informed and recovery-focused including behavioral health assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, group and individual therapy, family therapy, peer support, psychosocial rehabilitation, assertive community treatment, community based case management, high fidelity wrap around, housing, supported employment, court services, crisis intervention, on-site pharmacy services, rehabilitation services, brief residential crisis stabilization services, short-term substance abuse residential treatment as well as developmental disability day services and group homes. ​ Job Readiness- Atlanta Regional Commission WorkSource Georgia , maintains career a resource center that serves Rockdale County. Professionals at this center assist jobseekers with career assessment testing, job readiness training in areas such as effective communication and problem solving, job search training assistance and help locating approved training and education providers and registering for programs. ​ Emergency Assistance- Partnership for Community Action , through The Family Support Program, provides emergency assistance services to individuals and families in crisis. While attending these classes, that are focused on pregnancy through 6 months old infants, parents can earn points and redeem them for material needs for their child. Classes are held both in person and online. ​ Family Assistance- Partnership for Community Action , Inc. is the designated community action agency for DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties. The organization works to create opportunities leading to family self-sufficiency by providing services to low-income individuals and families in its service community.     Clayton County CSA - Head Start Clayton County Community Services Authority, Inc. is a Community Action Agency supported and financed by Federal, State, and Local Funds. Funding for administration is derived from an indirect cost rate negotiated with the Department of Health and Human Services. The Agency is organized and structured in accordance to the laws of the State of Georgia. ​ Head Start provides services, e.g., Education, Health, Nutrition, Parent Engagement, Disabilities, Mental Health, Classroom Extension, etc. ensuring that the children are equipped, and ready to transition to Kindergarten. Head Start , an organization that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families, is complete. This includes an exterior play ground complete with the latest in age-appropriate and safe equipment.   • Phoenix Pass | Restoration Storehouse

    Phoenix Pass Phoenix Pass serves the needs of women and their children experiencing temporary homelessness by giving them an opportunity to reestablish self-sufficiency in a residential setting. The program at Phoenix Pass provides participants with supportive services (classes and case management) and the resources to recover and rebuild a productive, stable lifestyle for themselves and their children. Our families live rent-free in furnished apartments for up to two years. During this time they are required to work and save 30% of their income,design and implement an Individual Service Plan that outlines their goals, attend 26 classes designed to help them re-establish self-sufficiency and attend weekly coaching sessions to hold them accountable in meeting their goals. ​ “Changing lives one family at a time” Serving women with children experiencing homelessness Providing 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, furnished & utilities included Through a program focusing on financial stability, job skills, we provide support and education that brings families from poverty to prosperity.     Rockdale Emergency Relief Rockdale Emergency Relief (RER), the longest running human service organization in Rockdale County, provides Rockdale County residents experiencing financial crisis and hardship with a variety of services. We focus on helping our community prevent homelessness and maintain home stability - believing in a hand up, not a hand out.     One Heart Ministries One Heart Ministries reflects God’s heart for the world by relentlessly reaching others one heart at a time through our community outreach and various ministries. Since 2014 One Heart has been distributing food and services to the under resourced in Rockdale County. Operation Blessing and Xtra Mile Food Ministry have been partnering together for years now and have a great working relationship. Operation Blessing has provided us with hundreds of trucks over the years. Xtra Mile Food Ministry serves food and resources to over 500 people a week. Our community outreach includes programs such as the Special Needs Prom, Christmas Hope for the Holidays, a Clothing and Household ministry, and more.
